Oreo Crunch Muffins

How do you eat Oreo cookies?
Do you eat the cream filling first? Dunk them in milk? Slather them with peanut butter Parent Trap-style?
My favorite way to eat Oreo cookies has always been crushed up in a bowl of milk and eaten with a spoon. Cereal-style. I like to call it “The Breakfast of Champions.” 
No matter how you eat them, however, the love for Oreo cookies is universal. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t like Oreos. If I did I think I’d scream and then shove a Oreo Crunch Muffin down their throat.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. I made some really good Oreo Crunch Muffins. They are really easy to make and I’ve been told they taste like fried Oreos. Fried Oreos you can eat for breakfast? Sure thing! 
Oreo Crunch Muffins
“Crispy, crunchy, fluffy, moist, Oreo muffins. You can eat them for dessert, snack, or even breakfast!”
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar, separated
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- ½ cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 cups Oreos, roughly chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a muffin tin and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, wisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream ½ cup sugar, butter, oil, yogurt, egg, and vanilla until throughly combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently stir in milk, then fold in the chopped Oreos.
- Spoon batter evenly into prepared muffin tin. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the center of muffin comes out clean.
Yield: 12 muffins

I grew up not liking oreos as a kid (STRANGE, I know) I think it was because they were black and it freaked me out. I think you should invent rainbow chips ahoy muffins, those were my fav. cookies as a lil kiddo

OMG, these can’t possibly be bad!
What I do with my Oreos:
1. Carefully separate cookies so that they don’t break.
2. Slather peanut butter on both sides.
3. Arrange 5 M&Ms on one side.
4. Put cookie back together.
5. CHOMP!!!
These look delectable though, Oreos will always be good.
these are so gorgeous looking!!! i cant get over the fact that they have oreos in them- mmm i definitely would have one for breakfast, the fact that they are in a muffin form makes them breakfast food in my mind hehe

Oh my jeeze. My hubby would die if he saw these. Oreos are so his favorite cookie (right behind my homemade chocolate chip cookies of course!). If there’s one way hed like to eat an oreo other than plain, itd be in a muffin! Genius girl

Wow, this is a great idea! My favorite way to eat an Oreo is to dunk it in milk until it softens, and then get at it. Oh, and it must…MUST…be Double Stuff!

I’ve just tried them and they are really fluffy and moist which is what I’m missing at most muffins
Don’t taste much different from usual cookie or chocolate chip muffins though – only they are not that dry
