Vinsaya Yoga & Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls

Today I went to my first-ever Vinsaya yoga class and it was amazing!
I don’t consider myself a yogini by any means, (I’m more of a runner) but I must admit that it was a great class. It was nice to take a step back from my usual workout repertoire of tempo runs, BodyPump, and HIIT to relax and stretch (Something I’m terrible at doing, by the way).
After the class, I came home ready for some breakfast. I had a Cinnamon Roll Larabar to fuel me before yoga and wanted to incorporate a little more of that cinnamon flavor into my breakfast. After a quick scroll through my “Bookmarked Recipes” tab on my computer I came up with the perfect thing to make.
Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls from Healthy Food For Living!
Warm. Carrot Cake. Cinnamon Rolls.
They were just the thing I needed. Admittedly, the extensive steps, ingredients, and time required for these rolls scared me a little at first, but I knew they would be worth it once it was all over. You know how much I like cake-flavored cinnamon rolls. (Remember these?)
So I got to work. I measured, mixed, kneaded, and then waited. A lot.
I started to get even more hungry. I needed food immediately. Thankfully, I had a lot of cream cheese frosting already made for the cinnamon rolls so I took a few spoonfuls to hold me over. Yum!
Then I kneaded again, rolled out the dough, formed it into rolls, waited again, practiced a few yoga poses, and finally popped the raw cinnamon rolls into the oven. Twenty minutes later, the cinnamon rolls were done baking and were ready to eat. They smelled so good that I could barely wait to dig in!
First I had to take a few pictures…
Then, I was able to eat! I served myself one cinnamon roll with a side of fresh, juicy blueberries. And then I went back for seconds. And maybe thirds. These cinnamon rolls are the best!
I highly recommend making them. I know these will become a stand-by for me!
