Swirly Buns Review
August 12, 2011 § 21 Comments
As much as I love baking homemade cinnamon rolls there are times when I just don’t have the time or patience to take out the flour and sugar and whip up a batch. I make a huge mess in the kitchen and although I follow the directions exactly they never seem to turn out right for me anyways.
So when the generous folks at Just Buns offered to send me a sampler package of their delicious, all-natural Swirly Buns to review on my blog I was beyond excited.
The sampler package they sent me contained 10 of their best-selling flavors. The flavors marked with an *asterisk* were my favorites.
- Almond
- Apricot*
- Black & White
- Blueberry*
- Chocolate*
- Cinnamon & Brown Sugar*
- Coffee
- Nutella*
- Peanut Butter & Chocolate*
- Raspberry & Almond
All of the Swirly Buns tasted exceptionally delicious! I was pleasantly surprised at how homemade they tasted and didn’t have that stale flavor that most pre-packaged baked goods have. They were sweet without being too sweet and had a plentiful amount of filling which is always a good thing. Since they are all-natural and preservative-free they are definitely a good way to crush your cinnamon roll cravings. I cannot even think of one constructive criticism to offer the folks at Just Buns because their Swirly Buns are just so good! I would definitely recommend them to a friend and look forward to ordering more in the future!
Thanks Again Just Buns!

Peanut butter and chocolate swirly bun? Sounds like heaven!
Those buns look good
So… I babysit all the time… some times it’s great, some times it’s a terror. Just the other week I was babysitting and I was making peanut butter cookies. So, I had cookies in the oven and then a glass broke and while I was picking up glass shards there was a child on the stairs, fully stripped to her birthday suit while another child was in the other room yelling, “I HAVE TO POOOOOP!”. I wasn’t sure which problem to tackle first. lol
How long did it take you to try all 10? They sound delicious
About 2 weeks, but I had some help from my family!
Ohh yummm! I want to start making my own cinnamon rolls! I’ve never been a huge fan of the store bought ones but I’m sure homemade would be awesome!
Yum! Apricot buns sound so great!
Wow! How many flavors they have amazes me! They look and sound great though!
Gah! Those look incredible!! I’ve never heard of Just Buns – this is very good (and dangerous!) for me to know about! Haha
I can’t even remember the last time I had a cinnamon bun but I am seriously craving one now! I think I would’ve picked cinnamon & brown sugar. Can’t beat the traditional one!
They all sound wonderful. Great review!
Oh my goodness those look absolutely fantastic!
Oh my GAWSH. These look so amazing. I would so so so love to try this NOW
Nutella flavored sounds INCREDIBLE!!!
Holy yikes! The buns look amazing, I would love to try the Nutella version!
Wow! All those flavors sound AMAZING! What a variety!
all of those sound SO good, (except maybe the blueberry.) Yum!
Free cinnamon buns? Is it even possible to turn that down?!
I think not
Peanut butter buns?! Oh dear lord..
I’m mega jealous! Oh my gosh nutella flavored? I don’t think it gets better than that. I’m going to check their website out ASAP!
I have tried these buns and the best part is that the bun folks don’t fry them. The calories are 200 or so vs a cinnabon which is 1100 or more! I just checked out their website and they take orders online….can’t wait to order the nutella and cinnamon and brown sugar! Thanks for sharing!
All of those flavors sound so good! Especially Nutella
